About/History
Karen is a Professional Full-Time Taxidermist, not a part-time or hobby taxidermist. She doesn't come home from a full time job in town then mount your duck after supper or work on your deer on the weekends. This is her job, this is her income, this is what she likes. The best thing is she loves her job and she loves to create a lasting memory for someone to have the rest of their life.
Learning something new has not stopped for Karen, that is why she attends Taxidermy Conventions each year, like the one in Oklahoma so she can better her self and learn from the classes new and better ways to do taxidermy.
We moved to Arkansas in 1994 from a farm we owned in NE Kansas After moving to Arkansas Karen has done nothing but taxidermy full time. Karen worked another job in Kansas and probably did more taxidermy there than most full-time taxidermists in Kansas. We still have a place in Whiting, Kansas we go back to several times a year, we also pickup animals to mount and take back to Arkansas then return to Whiting with them when done. We also have a few acres North West of Meeteetse, Wyoming that we spend some time at.
Karen's shop is at our home so you can call anytime 24/7 and we will try and answer your questions. She has mounted about anything, but she will not tell you she can do it if she thinks she can't. You can bring out your animals any time just call to make sure we are home. Give her a call a come out and see some of her work, before you decide on a taxidermist.
